4 cars for a comfortable Dubai driving
Transportation in the UAE can be hot, tedious and uncomfortable, but it doesn’t have to be this way. We’ve tried to find new cars that can make your commute or long desert drive more pleasure than pain and more plain sailing than bumpy.
BMW 5 series
Better known for speed and tour car racing, BMW have produced a car that can make anyone want to spend hours behind the wheel driving on desert roads or through the city. Its sleek shape, adjustable drive settings that can iron out any bumps in the road, and an interior that you could sleep in makes this a great choice. Prices start at AED 250,000.
Range Rover
Nothing says style, comfort and luxury quite like a Range Rover and they are just at home off the road as on it. Suspension is the key for these goliaths and they don’t disappoint, keeping everyone and everything inside comfortable across all surfaces. The range of options available for the spacious interior is huge – this is in addition to the wood and leather trim – from reclining seats to the on-board fridge. Prices start from AED 379,000.
Mercedes S-Class
When the S-class was first released in 2013 it was seen as the latest and best in show and it has never looked back. The latest German technology is on show with the S-class. Its superb, added option of road scanning suspension actively adjusts to whatever is ahead and will allow you to relax in luxury on any road and in an interior fit for a king. Prices from AED 410,000.
Hyundai i10
The surprise addition to our list. The smallest and cheapest by far, it may look out of place amongst the rest, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in comfort, stability and quietness. The i10 was designed for cities, with its size and handling perfectly suited to the tight turns and also petrol consumption of city life. It’s pretty comfortable too, being able to fit four in with a reasonable boot size for that added shopping. Available from AED 32,500.
