Tesla adds improved Model 3 to its lineup
Are you currently considering investing in an electric vehicle? If so, you should be aware that Tesla recently added a new car to its lineup. The manufacturer has a very positive reputation here in the UAE, and their latest vehicle is a high-performance version of their Model 3.
The ordinary Tesla Model 3 is designed to be safe and affordable. It differs greatly from the manufacturer’s flagship ‘Model S’, which offers a high level of luxury. The high-performance variant of the Model 3 bridges the gap between the two models. It is designed to offer an improved driving experience without the costly opulence of the Model S. While it’s certainly more expensive than a traditional Tesla Model 3, it’s possible for ordinary drivers to afford it. But is it really worth investing in the new high-performance Model 3 instead of the cheaper standard variant? The answer to this question depends on what you need from a vehicle.
Firstly, it’s worth noting that the high-performance Model 3 has a considerably greater range than the standard Model 3. An ordinary Model 3 can travel approximately 354km on a single charge. In contrast, the high-performance version can travel nearly 500km. This makes it ideal for long journeys. If you regularly need to traverse great distances and don’t have time to stop and recharge your car en-route, the extra range should prove useful. The high-performance Model 3 is also a bit faster than its standard-performance predecessor. The original Model 3 had a top speed of around 225km per hour, whereas the high-performance model can achieve approximately 250km per hour. If you often get to travel on open roads with generous speed limits, you’ll probably relish the extra velocity.
However, the high-performance Model 3 isn’t for everyone. If you mostly drive in towns and don’t have to cover great distances, you’re unlikely to notice the car’s added range or speed. In this case, you should opt for a standard Model 3 or an electric vehicle from another manufacturer.
If you do choose to buy the new and improved Model 3, you will have to wait a few weeks. While the vehicle has been added to Tesla’s lineup, it won’t be for sale until next month. When it’s available it should cost around 286,000dh.
